Homerun

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, In : Life
A few days ago, my parents decided they'd be going to Toronto to attend the New York Mets vs. Toronto Blue Jays baseball game on Sunday. My mom asked if I wanted to go, and I said, "Sure, whatever." She then asked Jo, who said she didn't want to go. I volunteered to stay home and watch her, but Jo was apparently so appalled by that idea that she decided to go. We would be leaving Saturday night, and returning the next day when the game was over.
Jo went to a birthday party on Saturday afterno...

More Unfinished Drawings

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, In : Life
Here's another batch of drawings I never bothered to complete. I actually intend on finishing some of the more recent ones, but I'll probably never touch a lot of these again.

This picture is more than a year old, and quite frankly I'm not sure why I never finished it. As you can see, it's very close to being finished. I think what happened was that I accidentally screwed up the layers, which would've made it difficult to complete.

Hehehe, this is a particularly old sketch that was supposed to ...

Year of the Dragon

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, In : Life
The elusive Draik is one of the most sought after Neopets on the site. While three other draconic pets are offered on the site, the Draik stands out among the rest; the Skeith is a monster type thing that looks like an obese bulldog with dragon features, the Shoyru looks more like a Mew than anything else, and the Scorchio is a pudgy little dragon whose looks were completely destroyed when all the art was updated. The Draik is certainly the most draconic of the three, and arguably the best lo...

House of Horrors

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, February 5, 2012, In : Life
The other day, I decided to start playing Habitarium on Neopets; in the past, I always thought it was pointless and dull, but you can actually potentially rake in a huge sum of Neopoints from it; up to 100,000 Neopoints a day once you get to level 50. It requires little interaction; you can leave it open on another tab all day, and only check in on it every so often.
When I started playing, all of my bugs were dead; in the past I had created a Habitarium, but I got to level two and just ditche...

2011

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, In : Life
JANUARY
All of the blooming roleplays didn't last long after their inceptions, and instead our main roleplay throughout the month of January was Zodians, a rare, non-Pokemon roleplay for once. We found out the English names of all the Black and White Pokemon this month.
FEBRUARY
Everyone suddenly really got into Neopets this month, and thus our main roleplay at the time was The Reviving Darkness, a spin on the Darkest Faerie video game. I started uploading a series of TDF walkthroughs to Youtub...

I Took an Arrow in the Knee

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, In : Life
I've been hearing a lot about this video game called 'Skyrim' lately. From all the hype it was getting, I originally thought it was a Call of Duty game. I soon found out that it was part of a different franchise I rarely ever hear about called 'The Elder Scrolls'. I didn't know much about the aforementioned franchise, other than it was some kind of fantasy RPG. A few days ago I decided to look Skyrim up, and it actually sounded sort of interesting. When we were out shopping last Saturda...

The Big Apple

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, In : Life
Blah ugly post but I don't feel like writing. u_u
Rather that going to Long Island for Thanksgiving, we went last weekend. We left last Thursday, and I got to skip school that day. I spent most of the car ride listening to music and working on the Plasma's Folly story. I can't remember what time we arrived at my aunt's house, but I know by then it was night and past dinner time. We went to bed soon after, because the next day we'd be visiting New York City.
Before we boarded the train, we stopp...

Lights, Camera, Action

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Saturday, November 5, 2011, In : Life
My mom found out that one of our local news stations was doing a thirty minute special on bullying, and apparently they were looking for kids to share their stories of being bullied. She told me about it and asked me if I wanted to share my Touching Spirit Bear project (still need to blog about that cghfgdj) on it, and I said, 'Sure, why not.' I didn't really expect to be able to go on, and if I didn't I wouldn't care. But it turned out they did want me to come on. So on November 3rd, I...

Home Sweet Home

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Friday, October 28, 2011, In : Life
Saying this is probably selfish, seeing as there are so many people in the world who don't have proper housing. But I really don't like my house. It's the smallest house in my neighborhood, and it's practically one step up from a trailer. I've only seen one other house with the same design as mine, and it has an extension in the back. We don't have a deck, or a porch. Just a set of stairs with rusting iron banisters leading up to the door. The paint on both the door and the garage is chipping...

Something I Dreaded from the Start

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Saturday, October 1, 2011, In : Life
Last night I finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. And now I'm... depressed. That show was amazing, and I'm so glad I decided to start watching it... I'm also glad that I kept watching it, even though I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I'm pretty sure that almost everyone I suggested FMA to gave up on it early on, and that's what I almost did... but it's so worth it to keep watching. Or, at least to me it was. I know our interests vary and all, but still... I liked FMA more tha...

Got My Hopes Up For Nothing

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, September 25, 2011, In : Life
Yesterday, we went to the mall to see The Lion King in 3D. I could care less about that movie, I've seen it a hundred times when I was five. What I really wanted to go to the mall for was so I could check out F.Y.E, a video and music store that also sold a large variety of anime.
Earlier that day, my mom took me to the library the next town over to see if the had volumes four and five of Brotherhood. I made my way over to the anime/manga shelf, which was tucked away in the teen section. I bro...

Now of All Times

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Saturday, September 24, 2011, In : Life
If you've been on Sakimi at all this past week, you would've known that I've been grappling with two essays that were supposed to be simple. In fact, you're probably sick of hearing me whine about them. Another thing you're all probably sick of is hearing me talk about Fullmetal Alchemist. Well, this particular entry involves both of these things-- just your luck.
I picked the perfect time to get into an anime, didn't I? Right when school swings into full session. And I had been tasked with co...

Friendship is Tragic

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, September 18, 2011, In : Life
I know I say some things in here that could easily come across as rude, but please don't take offense.

I'm just going to get this out of my system. It's been bothering me for a while, so here we go.

I. CANNOT. STAND. MY LITTLE PONY.

Yes, I think we all know that by now. I've mentioned MLP numerous times before in my blog, but I've been meaning to dedicate an entire entry to it for a while.
So, if you've never heard of the MLP craze, you probably live under a rock and have never been on the inter...

Trying New Things

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Saturday, September 17, 2011, In : Life
I've watched Soul Eater all the way through three times, and certain episodes I've seen more than that. As much as I love Soul Eater, it was beginning to grow old watching it over and over again... I needed to find something else to watch. You know, I've wondered why people who like anime never seem to just like one... I guess it's because they like cartoons, and they want to watch something geared toward older audiences that isn't stupid and immature like South Park or Family Guy or whatever...

Another Year for Improvement

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, In : Life
I can't believe it's already been an entire year since last year's entry! Well folks, it's that time again. We're going to take a tour of some of my art between last September and this year and look for improvement, if there even was any at all...

Here's a Zekrom that was drawn last September. It's very noticeable that the coloring style is a lot different from the ones that I use today.

This Kyurem, drawn in October 2010, was colored in a variation of the style used in the Zekrom above.

Saturday At Last

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, September 11, 2011, In : Life
Boy, it felt like the first week of school would never end... well, the weekend's finally here, and it's been pretty good so far.
On Friday, I went to bed somewhat early, but I still slept in till like eleven... I would've slept longer if my mom didn't wake me up. We had to go to the bank before it closed at noon, and after that we would shop for shelves for my locker. We were going to Target, and if they didn't have them we would check out Office Max. Both of those stores are in the town wher...

A Cry in the Night

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Friday, August 26, 2011, In : Life
I was just chilling on my computer when Jo came in my room and told me that she heard something mewing outside. She said that she'd been hearing it for two days, but she had only just told people now. My mom was going outside to investigate, and I was curious so I decided to come along too. It was around eight o'clock by then, so it was starting to get dark. Armed with a weak flashlight, we headed out.
The noise was coming from the pine trees between our backyard and our neighbor's yard. The t...

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, August 14, 2011, In : Life
There isn't going to be a blog entry about my new kitten, just to let you know. There was going to be one, and it was really long and I spent a freaking hour and a half writing it. Then it randomly got deleted.
I really hate Yola. It always just happens to delete my really long posts, and only when I don't have them copied onto a Word document. Every. Freaking. Time.
So basically, I got a kitten on Thursday. His name is Mack. There were some freaky coincidences, or possibly supernatural activit...

My Brother is Gone

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Thursday, August 11, 2011, In : Life

April 16th, 2000 - August 8th, 2011

Jackie had been struggling with a thyroid problem for a while. He'd begun to lose weight, reducing him to little more than a skeleton. It was growing increasingly difficult for him to breathe. Recently, he started hiding downstairs by the furnace and refusing to eat. He wasn't acting like himself. Jackie liked to play, and he loved to eat. He'd also always hang out at my mom's side. He wasn't doing any of those things.
On Monday, I received a rude awakening f...

The Drawings that Never Made It

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, August 7, 2011, In : Life
Not every sketch I make gets turned into a full drawing. I'm not normally one to save the sketches I don't use, but I do have a number of them of them saved on my computer. There are some on my other user account, but I'll get them later.

This was created right when Victini was first revealed, and we knew it as 'Bikutini'. I never intended to turn it into a complete drawing; I was just captivated by its design and wanted to doodle it. Obviously, it was heavily reffed.

Believe it or not, the abo...

A Girl's Best Friend

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, In : Life
In my previous post, I talked about how I was getting a chinchilla for my birthday. Well, today I finally got her. Meet Diamond, the newest member of our family!

She's a gorgeous gray and white female, if that wasn't obvious. She has a very calm and gentle personality from what I've seen of her, but she's quite playful, too. I know I said that I was probably going to get a black chinchilla, but, well... there's a funny story about that. When we were buying the supplies on Monday, the chinchill...

Here Ye, Here Ye

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, July 17, 2011, In : Life
So if you didn't already know, I had to go to this Renaissance festival for my birthday. My mom entered me in this contest, and I won for my region (there were five other winners from other regions). For the contest, you had to describe in three hundred words or less who your hero is. She wrote about how I stood up and read that Touching Spirit Bear totem pole project thing to the class, and apparently they found that worthy of winning. My guess is that we're the only people from my region wh...

Bittersweet Departure

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, In : Life
Last night, when I was feeding my mice, I couldn't find Pie. I looked all around the tank, but she was nowhere to be seen. I called my mom in, and at first, she couldn't find her either. But then, she lifted up their shelter, and found her. She was flattened against the ground, and Cookie was fearfully walking around and over her. Her body was limp, and her chest was not expanding for breath. Nature took its toll. Pie was dead.
Pie, like Oatmeal, had come down with some form of cancer. Pie's,...

2010

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Saturday, January 1, 2011, In : Life
JANUARY
Actual Pokemon Roleplay lived long into January, and was when much of its second expansion took place. I created its third expansion on the 26th, and that lived into the next month for the most part. I spent a lot of this month complaining about or trying to win the Fanatic Challenge, which didn't happen until the following month. The shiny Pichu was distributed at Gamestop until Valentine's Day the following month.
FEBRUARY
February marked the end of APR's glory. I also won the Fanatic...

Emo hairclips (they have black lace and a skull and crossbones on them)
Colored hair attachment things (there's black and white ones... I'm SO wearing them when I go out to get Black and White ^^)
Elf (the movie; since I've already seen parts of it a bunch of times this year, I don't think I'll be watching it for a while...)

We're Off to See the Wizard!

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Monday, December 20, 2010, In : Life
Today, my dad, Jo and I went to the mall while my mom was donating blood. We looked at various stores for a while before deciding to stop at the food court for something to eat. I wasn't very hungry, so I just got at thing of juice at some little convenient store. My dad was going to Burger King to get himself and Jo some burgers, and he let me take Jo to find somewhere to sit. I chose a random table with an umbrella. A few moments after we sat down, some old dude comes up to us, and he's lik...

Wrapping Up the Trip

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, In : Life
Thanksgiving dinner was, as expected, not so good. The turkey was cooked the night before apparently, and thus by dinnertime it was cold and dry. Most of the food didn't appeal to me (turnips, broccoli, string beans, yams, other vegetables...) but the stuff I did have wasn't very great. The mashed potatoes were awfully bland, and the stuffing tasted... off. And don't get me started on the gravy... It was all so terrible that my mom declared we would be having a Thanksgiving dinner of our own ...

Zekrom & Reshirant

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Thursday, November 25, 2010, In : Life

Since November 23rd, Jo and I have been looking forward to seeing Reshiram and Zekrom in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I already posted about how we wouldn't be seeing them live, but it turned out we didn't seem them at all. Well, we would've, if we had been watching the NBC broadcast, but noooooo, my aunt insisted we watch CBS.
The CBS broadcast barely even showed the parade at all; rather they switched back and forth between Carrie Underwood, some football announcer dudes, and some la...

The Monotonous Journey

I'm very fortunate to be speaking with you at the moment; I'm on my dad's old laptop, emphasis on old. This thing is slower than a Shuckle with the Brave nature >.> And it doesn't have spell-check either, so don't be surprised if I make a few typos...
I'm not sure exactly when I woke up; I think it was some time a bit after ten. I had this weird triple berry cake flavored yogurt for breakfast. After packing up a few things and making other preparations, we hit the road.
We stopped at so...

The Worst Thanksgiving Ever?

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, In : Life
This Thanksgiving, I have to go to my aunt's house in Long Island. I absolutely hate spending holidays away from home; one Easter, we went to the same aunt's house, and it was dreadful. I was dragged into a church, and overall it didn't feel like Easter as I knew it. I'm afraid it will be the same this Thanksgiving, aside from the church part. Worst of all... well, not to be rude, but my aunt definitely isn't the best cook out there.
In our original plans, we'd be visiting some King Tut exhibi...

A Year of Artistic Improvement

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Sunday, September 12, 2010, In : Life
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy with many things, school in particular ;_;

I've been drawing on the computer ever since I first obtained one, but I didn't really get serious with it until September of last year. Over the past 12 months, I've really improved, in my opinion at least. I mean, my pics still suck, but at least they don't suck as badly as they used to...

Unfortunately, I no longer possess any of my October '09 pics. But...

Toronto Travels

Posted by The Muffin Lucario on Monday, September 6, 2010, In : Life
As some of you may already know, I spent the weekend in Toronto. Here's a summary of everything that happened:

We had to wake up rather early on Saturday. There was a bit of drama, and my dad went to Wal-Mart. But after all that was through, we hit the road.
I began playing HeartGold on my Dialga & Palkia DS. I trained up my Pokemon a bit, then I attempted to capture Suicune. By the time we hit the border, I turned my DS off for a while. When I picked it back up... there was something awfully ...
