So, the other day, I was reading through a topic on the Bulbagarden forums-- it was about Pokemon related 'creepypasta'. Creepypasta are short stories designed to unnerve, disturb, elicit a negative emotional response from, and scare the reader, according to said topic. Well, a number of the creepypasta stories were about the original Lavender Town theme from the Japanese Red/Green versions, and why they changed it for the English release. They were quite ridiculous-- most were about how the binaural tones caused children to do bizarre things, such as commit suicide. But there's definitely something up with that eerie tune; I listened to it on Youtube, and I got a headache that lasted about two hours. Just thinking of it makes my head hurt. No wonder it was changed, and no wonder there's so many creepypastas about it.

And for the sake of your own health, I wouldn't recommend listening to the thing on Youtube, unless you'd like to have a two hour headache.
