This is a really random roleplay idea I thought up... dunno what I was thinking at the time, but heck, it might get somewhere. I want to see what you guys think, so I can decide whether or not to go on with it, and if I can improve anything if we do make it. I'll also need a bit of help coming up with a plot... and a name. The text below probably will not be the intro; I'm just trying to summarize my ideas. And I'm warning you, they're pretty ridiculous...

No one knows why, no one knows how, but every once in a blue moon, a Zodian (this name may or may not be official) is born. What is a Zodian, you may be asking? Well... firstly, have you ever heard of the zodiacs? You know, the eastern one with the twelve animals? And the western one with the astrological signs? That's all a bunch of nonsense, isn't it? All of those horoscopes and supposed personality traits and whatnot are never true! Well, for Zodians, everything's different. Basically, a Zodian is a child born with some, well, unique characteristics, as followed:

  • A Zodian is born with a birthmark in the shape of his or her astrological sign somewhere on their body. His or her eyes also match the color of their birthstone; these signs instantly alert the parents that they have produced a monster. That's right-- Zodians are feared, as they are believed to bring bad luck, and they can also be rather destructive and dangerous, especially when they turn twelve.
  • For the most part, a Zodian is just like any other child, until they hit that unlucky twelfth year. However, they may display some unusual behavior.
  • When a Zodian turns twelve, they stop aging whatsoever. They are trapped in the shape of twelve year olds forever, and can never die of old age. They can die of disease, injury and so forth, though. While they can gain knowledge, they have a tendency to carry around the immaturity that twelve year olds often display. But that's not the only thing that happens...
  •  Upon their twelfth birthday, a Zodian gains some unusual powers. They can actually become a manifestation of their eastern zodiac animal, their western zodiac symbol (how this will work out for Libra and so forth is anyone's guess) or a fusion of both at will. They will have also gained the power to manipulate their element (see below) in their human form, or in any of their Zodian forms.
  • A Zodian's parent often abandons him or her the day before they turn twelve. Without an explanation, the parents take them far from home, and ditch them there, hopefully never to see them again. While this is often through tears, deep inside the parents know it is for the best.
  • Most Zodians know better than to show their other forms in public, though they may come to that point if there is a dire situation. In fact, they very rarely come out of the wilderness at all, since someone may notice their unusual eyes or their birthmark, if it happens to be in plain sight. If a Zodian is caught, then the consequences generally aren't pretty. Because of this, Zodians have adapted to surviving in the wilderness over time; usually, they eat, sleep, and live in the forest. Sometimes, Zodians form groups in a particular area. But they can never really be safe...
This RP will be about a particular group of Zodians in a forest, trying to survive and yadda yadda. Maybe there will be two rival groups to make stuff more interesting? We won't make a bunch of separate RPs like KG and AG, though.
