The last post to ever be posted on the RP that started it all was posted at that exact time, one year ago today. Seconds later, Actual Pokemon Roleplay came crashing down into mere nothingness. While there have been several theories as to why APR I was deleted, the most likely appears to be Azullunacloud (Michelle) swearing. She spaced out several cuss words right before the deletion, and both I and Rainy admitted to reporting her.
APR I was a RP like none other. From November 1st to December 16th, we made 13,982 posts. Without this RP, chances are that none of us would've met.
I remember when I first joined, as Aura the Riolu. Well, actually... at first, my name was Kim, but I decided it didn't fit, so I had it changed. During the early stages of the RP, I was actually thinking about quitting! Boy, I'm sure glad I didn't! And let me say this... APR was far from being the most organized RP. By our standards today, it would be considered a n00b carnival. Legendaries were running rampant, people were godmodding left and right, there was no actual plot... nevertheless, it was amazingly fun.
Void came about when I wanted to switch things up a bit in the roleplay. I chose to secretly make Aura a Darkrai, since it was the most obvious form of evil in the Pokemon world. As time went by, Void slowly crossed over to the good side. But between her evil introduction and her somewhat good conclusion, there was a heck of a story-- everything that happened in APR I. The deal with Trans, the Apple Wars, everything... it was all so much fun.
Yet all of it disappeared after one small issue... I don't know what made the admins decide to delete the entire thread over one bad posts; they'd usually just edit the bad post and suspend the offender. Probably for the same reason they closed BV I, and deleted all my art galleries... I swear, those admins hate me.
The phrase 'you don't know what you've got until it's gone' is so true... There have been four APRs since then, but none of them will ever match the fun and good memories of the original one. And while it may be gone on the forums, I will always hold APR I closely in my heart.
