On Tuesday, my school got a surprise visit from a singer known as Cody Simpson. I had absolutely no idea that he even existed, but then again, I'm not really into music and celebrities. He apparently is pretty well known, as most of the school seemed to notify his existence, and the other day I saw his face on the cover of some teen magazine. I wouldn't mind, if it weren't for the fact that he sounds just like Justin Bieber, except with an Australian accent...
During lunch, we had to sit through his godawful performance; of course, the majority of the school was practically in love with him. Even my friends all flocked to the center of the cafeteria to watch. Traitors. Meanwhile, I hid myself in a book in one corner of the cafeteria. The principal approached me, and said that I might want to move if I wanted to get a better view. I gave her a funny look, and was like, 'Er... no thanks.'
By the time lunch was over, everyone was trying to get his autograph, though I believe none of them did... aside from the vice principal's SON. What the heck? This caused mass outrage in the next class, which was ELA. One girl even cried because she didn't get to talk with him. I mean, seriously? It's fine if you like him and all, but if you're going to cry over not speaking with him... that's just sad. Mrs. Rowcliffe had to send her out of the room to get her to shut up, and apparently she snuck off and he hugged her... or at least that's what she says. Regardless, most of the other girls started complaining like crazy, disrupting class in the process. It was terrible...
And if that wasn't bad enough, guess who walked in during chorus? I swear, ALL of the girls except for Sam and I screamed and nearly jumped off the stage. I'm sorry, but I'm really not into guys who sound like girls... Even worse was that we had to sing for him. Blech.
