Under: School
I've decided to try out for this year's school musical, "Night at the Wax Museum". It's apparently a spoof of the movie "Night at the Museum", if that wasn't already obvious. Today was the informational meeting; we were given a packet covering the basics of the musical, and what to expect at the audition. I'm not sure if I'll make a part... around a hundred kids attended the meeting, and only about fifty will make it through. And if I do make it, chances are I won't get a good part... I know that I've been in chorus for nearly five years, but I'm not very confident in my singing voice, and I'll probably fail at the dancing and movement. And you guys have heard my voice acting abilities... yeeeeah... Granted those were from a while back, but still... I don't think I'll make the cut with 'MY NAME IS NOT AURA!' :/
Last year, I was thinking about joining the tech crew for the musical, but after sitting through the lecture it seemed really boring. Michelle said it was fun, but I'm not so sure if I'd find the same things she finds fun, fun. Staying after for three hours daily to practice moving a curtain... er, no thanks. I've very much enjoyed participating in the fourth and fifth grade plays (that we were forced to take part in). I had solos in both of them... one was about tall tales, and the other, sports. In the tall tales one, I had to take turns singing some song about Annie Christmas with this tone deaf girl (who actually played Annie Christmas... I was her assistant or something). In the sports one, I sang a line in the final song... it was about being a champion in your mind or something.
Well... I can't remember when the auditions are (and I'm too lazy to look them up), but wish me luck =P
