There's been a rumor going around that on November 5th, death will occur at the high school... I'm not quite sure if it's going to be a bomb, a Columbine, or what, but apparently it's serious business, as I saw a story about how they were investigating it in the local news today... thankfully, I'm in the MIDDLE SCHOOL, not the HIGH SCHOOL. But if there is some kind of deal over there, my school will most likely go into lockdown for the entire day...
Now, we've been in lockdown before, back in January of last year. It was during last period; at the time, I was in chorus. The principal announced that we were entering a yellow lockdown, and people began to worry. One girl looked like she was about to cry. Mr. Steves approached her and said, "This is just a yellow lockdown, nothing to worry about. It's not like it's gonna be a Columbine, that'd be a red lockdown..." Right as he finished his sentence, the principal announced that we were entering a red lockdown. Everyone was screaming and crying, and Mr. Steves yelled at us and forced us to cramp into one corner of the stage... we had to stay there in silence for HOURS, even though the school day should've ended at 2:05. I can't remember when exactly we were released, but it was much after that...
I'm not sure if this rumor should be taken seriously; it might just be someone trying to scare everyone. But I don't know... only time will tell...
