Plot Twist

If you recall, not too long ago I wrote a blog entry about how I was sick of hearing about Soul Eater. Well, uh... it's a funny story...
Okay, so. The other day, Rainy delivered some terrible news: she decided to try watching Soul Eater. And she liked it. You could probably guess my initial reaction... I wasn't happy. In fact, I refused to post on Plasma's Folly unless she promised to not talk about it anywhere near me. That was going well at first, but eventually she did bring it up again. I was mad, of course... But then she told me that I should at least see what it is before I judge it. Well, fine. I decided to watch an episode for the same reason I tried watching Friendship is Magic. It was actually pretty interesting at first, unlike My Little Pony. But then it got to the scene... with Blair... I was like, 'Uh, NO.' Rainy told me to ignore it, and that there wouldn't be anything else like that. That was pretty much a lie... but I kept watching, anyway. When I was finished, I told her I wouldn't be watching anymore. The Blair scene was just too weird.
But at the same time, we were discussing how little interests I had. I liked Pokemon, Neopets, MythBusters, Rick Riordan's series, and that was practically it. She named off this huge list of things she liked... and I realized how few interests I had. Since I did like the non-Blair parts of the show, I decided to keep watching... and it wasn't that bad after all. I actually do quite like the show. Well, most of it. The concept, plot, and violence are great, but I could seriously do without the weird parts. Thankfully, there aren't too many of those...
If my friends happen to find out that I like Soul Eater, through looking at my Youtube favorites or otherwise, I expect them to be like, OMGWTFBBQ KIM LIKES AN ANIME TFHDSFSGHFS. e_e This will be fun to deal with...
But this doesn't mean I'm going to be okay with those obsessive fangirls. I mean, sure, it's a good show. But REALLY? Is it really necessary for them to obsess over it like that? If I hear them talking about it, I'm going to be annoyed. Especially now that I know what the characters they obsess over are like. Death the Kid? Really? Everyone knows Excalibur is the best. ;D Actually, nobody knows that. Everyone but me hates him.
