Today, the Shaymin mission was made available in Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs. It was a tiny little thing; only took me a few minutes. Regardless, I downloaded my Shaymin instantly, and headed over to the Goldenrod flower shop as soon as I received it in SoulSilver. The lady gave me my Gracidea, and I hurried to try it out on my new Shaymin. When it changed forme, its cry changed. I had no clue that this would happen- when I was capturing Sky Forme in GS, it had Land Forme's cry. And if I didn't know, Jo obviously wouldn't know either.
When she got home, I was at the door, DS in hand. I was viewing the summaries of my Pokemon, and was constantly flicking it back and forth from a random Fire Fang-Strength Shinx egg to my Shaymin. Jo was like o_O when she heard the cry. I held the DS up, blocking her view from the Shaymin. She said, "I've never heard that cry ever before! What the heck is it?" I replied with a grin, "Can't tell you." This instantly made her mad, and heightened her motivation in discovering what was making the cry. I went on playing my game, constantly sending out Shaymin as I trained it. I gave her hints every so often, such as its moveset, and that it was from Generation IV. I also told her that the cry was nowhere in the Pokedex- which was true. I also said that it transformed when I put it in the PC. She's had her theories, but she still hasn't figured out what the mystery cry belonged to.
